Department Structure
Operations Division
Responsible for emergency response, including fire suppression, rescue operations, and emergency medical services. This division includes firefighters across all shifts and stations.
EMS Division
Oversees the department's emergency medical services, including four ambulances staffed 24/7 as Mobile Intensive Care Units with Advanced Life Support capabilities.
HAZMAT Team
A specialized team of 25 members trained to the technician level, responding to hazardous materials incidents in Lufkin and surrounding areas.
Fire Prevention
Focuses on fire safety inspections, code enforcement, and public education to prevent fires and ensure buildings meet safety standards.
Administration
Handles the administrative functions of the department, including budgeting, personnel management, and coordination with other city departments.
Training Division
Ensures all firefighters maintain their skills and certifications through ongoing training and professional development programs.
